I don't think the crime should be that she was screwing 17 year old TEENS. It should be that she was their teacher and went over the line. She was supposed to be a trusted mentor, not a fuck buddy. i noticed people aren't throwing around the term "pedophile". That seems to be reserved for male teachers who fuck female students. I say, it shouldn't be a life long, branded crime to bang a horny teen. Not when its ok for them to have sex with other people that are their own age. The mom crying about loosing her kid - how was that any different than a kid sneaking around, fucking his high school girlfriend!?! |

The age of consent in Blighty is 16, so to me her only crime is breach of trust and a serious lack of morals. 22 Years is fucking ridiculous. But the real question should be...what if the teacher was male, would I still have the same attitude to this? The answer is no I wouldn't.  |

In a few countries (inculuding some US states) the age of consent is raised if you are in a 'position of trust'. For example the age of consent here is 16. However it would be illegal for a 16 year olds teacher, dentist, doctor, mp or arresting officer to have sex with him/her until 21, even at 21 you could still face disciplinary action. As posted below exactly! |

This is not a sexual assault case, nor was she charged for "breach of trust". She was convicted for 37 counts of unlawful sexual contact with minors. 17 year olds are not children they're right thinking consenting adults imo. The age of consent in Florida is 18 whereas the age of consent in Canada and most other places is 16 years. 22 years for fucking 17yo willing students is lunacy. Murderers get less ffs. 22 years for a victimless crime!! |

That isn't what I said now is it. I am male so I'm cursed with that gene that dictates that I see women as something needs to be protected. I am sure you have seen what happens if a guy hits a woman in public yes? I am seeing it from a male point of view your seeing from a female stance so we are going to differ in opinion.
