Re: Pitt Bull, Rottweiler Ban in Louisiana
But people can tell when someone is hiding a pit bull, because the owners are all either heavily scarred from their dogs mauling them, or they're burying the bodies of their visitors in the basement - you know, cuz their dogs are all so violent. Mr Black, As an adult and as a child, I've lived with, owned and been around many pit bulls and many other breeds /mixes. I have personally observed the behavior/temperament of many dogs, without the help of news articles and statistics. The amount of unstable dogs did not lean in the direction of the Pit Bull Breed. You know what I did observe in every instance? The owners of the unstable dogs were all ignorant or just plain stupid. Weather it was the psycho little lap dog, the scary pit bull or the monsterous German Shepherd - it was always the owner that was the problem. Sometimes there was a crazy dog from birth, but a responsible owner knows to have a dangerous dog put down, if it can't be worked with or fixed of its issues. They do not rehome the dog to hand off the problem. I have observed that many people don't know jack shit about dogs or dog behavior, yet have an unrelenting need to own one or more dogs. Breeds that are high energy and need a job, should never be in the possession of the above group. Now, if there was a way to deal with those people and leave the rest of us and our dogs alone, I'd be on board with you. Since you find it acceptable for someone to come into my home and rip a giant hole in my, and many other people's lives - regardless of how responsible and knowledgable we are about our dogs, you and I will not see eye to eye. You can throw numbers at me all day. My personal observation of not only my experiences, but of many others, around the world holds more truthful and solid to me. |

Actually your data is wrong, that map is completely and entirely incorrect. Let me go ahead and find the data you're looking for. Were you bit as a kid by a pit? Because pits are EXACTLY the same as any other dog.. |

Re: Pitt Bull, Rottweiler Ban in Louisiana
I'm not a pitbull owner, but know many loving pits that would never bite any living thing.. If you want to say get your stats correct, that's something for you to take into account. The graph you posted was not correct. So was that you making up your own stats?

Re: Pitt Bull, Rottweiler Ban in Louisiana
My data is 100 percent accurate and i'm still waiting for your rebuttal. Saying "Oh god you're one of those?" or "Let me go ahead and find the data you're looking for." is not what I consider an intelligent defense. |
