I was going to type out a long explanation of why dogs do this but then realised the TL,DNR replies would fly in. All i have to say on this is that if you don't understand why the dog attacked then you have no business owning animals as pets.
I'll hazard a guess and say that 90% of all pet owners are fucking retarded morons that don't understand the true nature of the animal they imprison.

Any dog is capable of attacking people, shit I had a tiny terrier and I wouldn't have left him with a baby in no circumstances, animals get jealous just as people and in my experience the smaller the dog the more it has to prove which is also a human trait, I have to admit my favourite pooch is either an Akita or a Bull Mastiff which is built like a Pittbull on steriods LOVELY POOCHES THOUGH. but would I leave it on it's own with kids? FUCK NO.

I work with the uncle of the child killed. From what I have heard and know the dog was known for aggression towards adults and children. The dog never should of been left alone with the child at all. The grandmother is also on medications for a list of things. The talk of charges has been brought up but nothing I know offical. The funeral was friday and i havent seen the guy since then but if I get anymore info Ill post it up... i dont post on here much girlfriend hates this site. lmao. By the way the I own a pit and blame the people of the situation.. I would never ever leave my pit with any children or other dogs for any amount of time. Steve has a good point with dogs have jealousy just as humans.

I wouldn't say worthless. I personally wouldn't have a pitbull around my kids, once those jaws lock on you, its a wrap.
