Philadelphia 'Crazy Cat Lady' Surrenders to Police
Lanie Jacobson was charged with possession and conspiracy to possess ketamine, an animal anesthetic, and had the animals removed from her home. Jacobson had previously turned over 30 felines from her animal shelter to authorities, and the unsanitary conditions of her home forced workers to wear respirators in order to complete the dirty task. <script type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" src="http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/portableplayer/?cmsID=257303501&videoID=anUQ7JMbx6h6&origin=nbcph iladelphia.com&sec=news&subsec=local&width=600&hei ght=360"></script> http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/...Hdlines_Philly http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...#ixzz30TpAyuxc ![]() |

Thank goodness for the cats she surrendered them. She ought to knock back some "Special K" to knock herself out so she doesn't hoard any more.

Re: Philadelphia 'Crazy Cat Lady' Surrenders to Police
I have two cats and that's enough, especially with my two dogs. I clean the litter box daily so it doesn't smell so much. There is probably some smell that would be noticeable to others that I probably don't notice though. With that many cats it had to reek. Sometimes when people try to help animals it gets out of control. Sometimes you have to realize you can only help so many. "Remember to have your pets spayed or neutered." - Bob Barker |

Re: Philadelphia 'Crazy Cat Lady' Surrenders to Police
It happens more frequently than you think. Sometimes it's hard for animal control because if the group is an approved 501c3 and in other words has been approved by the state as a rescue/shelter facility they are allowed to deny entry of animal control. Most of the time when the groups that have AC on their asses they clean up certain parts of their house/foster homes and allow AC to see those areas to try and get away with shit. These assholes know the law to a "t," too. It drives me fucking batty. They think that just because the dog/cat wasn't put to sleep at the shelter, they've saved it's life - regardless of it's quality of life. |

Re: Philadelphia 'Crazy Cat Lady' Surrenders to Police
I have had cats all my life and my cats use 'the great outdoors' as their litter box. Indoor litter boxes always reek even if the owners swear that they don't. It's like alcoholics really believing that people won't be able to smell pure Vodka on their breath. And cigarette smokers not smelling the wretched stench that they emanate. |
