I had my left distal bicep tendon surgery 2 years ago. In America, this surgery costs around $15,000 to $25,000. In Canada, at no point did I ever see a piece of paper with a bill or even have to sign anything. I just show up at the hospital, show them my OHIP card and everything is taken care of without me knowing anything about the costs. Seriously, I never signed a paper at ALL.
