PA Man Missing for 9 Days Found Dead in Snow
Sunday, February 23, 2014 Associated Press EPHRATA, PA (AP) - February 23, 2014 (WPVI) -- A 77 year old Pennsylvania man who had been missing for nine days was found dead by a search and rescue team. The Reading Eagle reports that the body of Richard T. Jordan, who had late stage Alzheimer's, was found Saturday morning in his neighbor's yard, just outside Ephrata. That's about 50 miles east of Harrisburg. Deputy Coroner, Terry Straka, says Jordan died of hypothermia. Jordan, who was living with relatives, left his home unexpectedly at 6 a.m. on February 13 in his pajamas during a snowstorm. Authorities say they would have found Jordan much sooner if not for recent severe storms. |

That's Alzheimer's for you. Terrible disease. I've worked with a few patients with severe, late stage Alzheimer's and there was just nothing left of who they used to be |
