The Texas-based oil giant said it discovered the leak early Saturday morning. Exxon said it "deeply regrets this release" and that it is working with local authorities to mitigate the impact. The leak took place in a 12-inch crude pipeline that runs from Silver Tip, Mont., to Billings. The pipeline has been shut down. Re: Oil Leaking into Yellowstone River It's Exxon Mobile. They admitted the leak but claim they don't know when the leak started or how much crude has been dumped. Hopefully they get it cleared up a HELL OF A LOT quicker than BP did. |

Re: Oil Leaking into Yellowstone River At least they admitted to it. Some companies would have fixed the leak and tried to pretend it never happened at all. |

Re: Oil Leaking into Yellowstone River How sad, I hope they'll clear ASAP. Their spokeswoman said that the pipe leaked an estimated 750 to 1,000 barrels of oil for about a half-hour before it was shut down, Other Exxon officials had estimated up to 42,000 gallons of crude oil escaped (42 gallons per barrel = 1,000 barrels). Of course it wasn't just a drop ![]() http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/...20076502.shtml |

![]() A pipeline is used to convey a fluid from point A to point B or C,D,E... ect. if needed. Saying "WHY would you put a fucking pipeline anywhere NEAR a fucking river in the fucking first place?" is like saying, "WHY would you put a fucking road anywhere NEAR a fucking river in the fucking first place?" Accidents happen... until you or Al Gore invent a car that runs on Hope, Dreams, and Bullshit you gotta have oil; and that oil has to be transported. ![]()

Re: Oil Leaking into Yellowstone River Al Gore is a douche-bag who is profiting from environmentalism, period. This self-righteous fucker has the balls to tell everyone they should be FORCED into hybrids while he owns a fleet of Suburban SUVs. He is more interested in profiting from polluters than stopping them. Research it.
