Re: Ohio City Considering a Three Strikes Policy on Drug Overdoses

The brand name drug, the autoinjectors and the nasal sprays are expensive. Multi-use vials of naloxone used with bog standard needles and syringes are considerably less expensive, but require more user training, even though fundimentally they arent any different from the autoinjectors, pre made doses or nasal sprays.

Pharmaceutical companies ripping the piss as usual. It's the same as the whole epipen exorbitant price vs epinephrine + syringe. Basically the same thing, just one is less convenient but exponentially cheaper

I live there and we have had so many overdoses in a night 4 different ambulance companies had to be called. Its a horrible epidemic where the emt drivers are running out of narcan. I say after 2 times of ODing youre fucked.

Sometimes, you just have to "let go".

There is only 'so much' that can be done.

Naloxone has gone up 17 time in about 2 years. People with congenital anosmia can even smell the bullshit.
