Re: NYPD Failed To Translate Mom’s Warning Ahead Of Triple Slay
This is truly my biggest pet peeve. I have said those exact words for years. I would not move to France and expect them to cater to me. |

Re: NYPD Failed To Translate Mom’s Warning Ahead Of Triple Slay
"The NYPD is also looking into using computer software to automatically translate the reports, sources said." Let's hope they find something better than Babelfish. This is tragic. I don't know if the woman tried to leave or not. I know some women don't leave because they don't work outside the home and don't have money and fear they will lose custody of the kids. Also, do her mother and brother live in NY or Guatemala? Maybe she had nowhere to go, that she knew of. Obviously there are a lot of mistakes made by a lot of people. I feel bad for the family. But with the family blaming the NYPD and saying if the police had done this or that, then the homicides wouldn't have happened, well what did the family do? They shouldn't blame themselves but they shouldn't blame the police either. It's a terrible situation but the person to blame here is the killer. My best friend and his son were killed by his partner. No matter what the relationship is like, you just never see it coming. It's incomprehensible. It feels like it's a non-reality. |
