Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Takes Place
It's mostly just for propaganda purposes to show his people that they are a powerful nation. it's like flexing your muscles to show off. the leader of north korea is no angel, but american sanctions only hurt poor north korean citizens. do not believe all the crap you see on t.v.

Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Takes Place
I don't watch tv news, but I guess I don't have reliable sources for information on North Korea. I mean, I am not surprised by anything anymore. It's just the stories I have heard from North Korea are crazy. Did you see when Lucy Liu went there? If so, how believable do you think that was?

Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Takes Place
Its not just that, my main concern would be that they actually launch a nuke, which in itself may not pose that great a threat (it might be shot down mid flight), but it might encourage other nations to join in on the fun. A chain reaction of launching nukes wouldnt be fun.

Re: North Korea Nuclear Test Takes Place
I understand the lack of sources. That is true. But if we use common sense we can connect the dots. America invaded korea in the 1950's and NEVER left. This issue is a civil war between North and South. Remember vietnam? after America left it eventually was united. The threat of American Military on North Korea's border has made the north even more radicalized. And don't think china likes american troops in asia. imagine chinese troops stationed in america. you see the irony?
