News Station Apologizes For 'Fuck It, I Quit' Anchor
KTVA 11 News issued an on-air apology Monday night after one of its reporters made a jaw-dropping exit that went instantly viral around the world. Charlo Greene, a reporter for Alaska's KTVA, announced Sunday night that she would be leaving to focus her efforts on legalizing marijuana, declaring, " f--k it, I quit," right before walking off camera. The departure was so dramatic that KTVA 11 News Director Bert Rudman had to break into the network's programing the next night and apologize, stressing that Greene's actions were "unacceptable and cannot be tolerated." "By now many of you have seen one of our reporters use inappropriate language and quit her job during Sunday night’s newscast," Rudman said. "We apologize." He also noted that Greene had reported on a business she owned, violating a basic journalistic tenet. Greene gave her own explanation for her actions on Monday in a YouTube clip describing her deep passion for people's rights and fairness for all Alaskans. "Advocating for freedom and fairness should be everyone's duty," she said. "I'm making it my life work to uphold what America stands for truly." Video of her quitting |

Re: News Station Apologizes For 'Fuck It, I Quit' Anchor
I love it. Cannabis is good for us. Everybody is tired of all the lies and bullshit. I myself am a very FIRM supporter of cannabis use, medical or recreational. Fuck nodding off in bed with a cigarette in hand from some opiate or xanax or overdosing. My mom died from opiates. Luckily someone was there so my little sister didn't have to find her body face-down wedged between the bed and the dresser. That just does not happen with cannabis. I also watched my grandfather starve to death from chemo treatments. The morphine didn't help. He had lung cancer, from coal mining and such. The cancer spread from the lungs to his bone and then his brain. But the COD listed on his DC is anorexia. I used to drink very heavy. Whiskey, lots and lots. I had some baaaaaaad hangovers. Wake up thirsty as fuck. Drink lots of water, then minutes later throw it all up, then dry heave for a while. Felt like shit. Smoke a little weed, felt a little better. Nibble on something. Smoke a little more weed, feeling much better. Eat like a beast and I was back on track. That was years ago. I was a complete mess, had a lot going on in my life that really nearly killed me. I had a beer a few days ago and some tequila a few weeks ago but that is all. Now I smoke a Lil and try to enjoy life, my children and try to not lose hope for the future. Cannabis is good. Very good. Very good for us. |
