Re: N.Y. 8-year-old Saved 6 In Fire, Died Trying To Save 7th
Why did the adults with "injuries that were not considered life threatening" allow a child to go in to save the remaining people???

Re: N.Y. 8-year-old Saved 6 In Fire, Died Trying To Save 7th
A very caring neighbor started a fund to cover funeral expenses. She hoped to get 5k. She raised over 55k. The mother wants to buy a new home. The father (who is an ex boyfriend) wants to buy books for his school (poor town), and other things in his son's honor. The mother is a substance abuser (or past). He has said (along with HER family) "let's put the money with a non family member that will do the right thing". Thoughts? Oh - cry for the day, the little boy will get a firefighter's funeral. Bless his heart. We should all be that courageous and kind. |

I feel like a piece of shit in front of this little hero. He didn't exitate to give away his LIFE to save the others. Damn, when you get old you think that you can teach everything to everybody WRONG There was nothing to teach to this boy. There was only to learn from him. This story made me feel very bad. |
