I guess I look at my own kids and my family and even people at work and think "how can anyone come up missing an never be missed?" I understand not everyone is lucky enough to have family but more times than not they do.... idk it just makes me sad

It could be people are looking and the connection just hasn't been made yet. I've heard of multiple cases where the remains of a missing person were found not too long after they were reported missing and they sit in a morgue awaiting identification. Sometimes for years. Someone neglects to enter the info into a computer or states only recently started sharing that sort of info.
