Ghadaffi was contained, he had made huge progress towards integrating back into the international community, and he willingly gave up his WMD program.

So we get him killed, and multiple tribes/warlords/Muslim factions take over different areas, and immediately start fighting with each other, and now, we have ISIS elements getting a foothold, right on European doorstep

Muslim terrorists flourish in areas like this, it's a breeding ground for terrorism, and we've got nobody to blame but our own governments.

Just because the powerhole caused smaller factions to take control, it doesn't give them the right to do whatever they want. Those fuckers are the craziest, most violent around and their "*******" is pretty fucked up.

When you remove a leader, and create a power vacuum, this is what ALWAYS happens in countries like this with no real sense of national identity. Just like Saddam, what Ghadaffi did was take a bunch of tribes and unify them under a heavy hand, which is the only thing they respect.
It might not give them the "right" to do what they do in your eyes, but short of full scale invasion and another nation building attempt nothing is going to stop them.

Should you not remove mass murderers? Well, at least make a solid policy and stick to it, rather than arbitrarily removing some while supporting others would be a hell of a start.

Give me one example where this has actually worked?

It's so messy now that no matter what side we get involved in, we still get our hands dirty. We have Iran helping fight ISIS, Hamas fighting ISIS, the Saudis helping ISIS..........
