I hope that's the case, and she did it just to take a picture. And this isn't how she really treats her baby.

That is the power of perspective. We could look at this, from many angles (not the pic), and build many assumptions. But never really know the reasoning behind it.

Even if the parents (as they said) was attentionally just "trying" to be funny, people that don't share the same sense of humor will remain in lynch mode.

Social media where people can share images instantly, just exposes more things people do stupid, and has a much larger audiences of comic critics, than we use to have.

Check back with the kid in about 18 or 20 years and you'll probably find him paying top dollar for that kind of treatment.
