Re: Mother Arrested After One Year Old Dials 911
And that was my point. I was a nervous wreck going two minutes away while my son was sleeping (10). I would NEVER have left a 6 year old and an infant home alone. She should have just thrown them in car seats and taken them with her.

Re: Mother Arrested After One Year Old Dials 911
The other child was six, not sixteen! I think the mother is 24 or something. Those little ones are fast! My thirteen month old great-nephew is picking up every speck and object naked to an adult eye now and I heard him cough. This was as quickly as I sat down and he was about six feet away from me. He has a thin piece of twine or grass or something in his mouth. They have a Yorkie. He mimics everything so I don't doubt he could dial a phone, but, he can't talk yet. The 911 operator was smart and quick to respond! Kids can get hurt in the blink of an eye! Not on my watch though! Perhaps too harsh, but, with all of these babies, "disappearing in the middle of the night", in the US, I have mixed feelings. It takes more time to put two kids in seat belts, especially the baby, than it may have taken to get her burger, but, it's worth it! |

Re: Mother Arrested After One Year Old Dials 911
"Police said that the six-year-old was worried that he and his brother had been left home alone" smart kid..dumb parent. Then again, there was a mother here not too long ago that left her children in the car while she went into the store. I believe they were both under 3. A passerby saw the kids and called the cops while she was waiting on the mother to come back out. She gave the mom an earful and the cops left the mom go with a warning. Doesn't make sense that some get in trouble but not others |
