I hope that CPS takes those children away from those 2 "parents " and never allow them to see them again. That little girl was traumatized, trying to save her baby brother from that beating. Daddy is just egging it on and, in my opinion , is just as bad as that asshole mother. Fuck 'em both...  |

At least the grandmother seems like she has a level head and love for those poor children . I truly hope the children will be loved and cared for appropriately.

My thoughts are that the grandmother gave birth and then raised that monstrosity. The girl may well have been off her meds but even the mentally ill can somewhat control what they do. For instance they might choose to hurt themselves instead of an innocent child. After having a baby there are times when their crying combined with hormones makes you feel enraged. But you just walk outside. The baby will be fine crying. Decent people, even mentally ill, would do this. I think the whole family is a pile of shit  Except for the kids at least for now. In 20 years it will probably be different.

If the person can control their actions to that extent, then they're not mentally ill, but rather emotionally unstable.

This one is definitely in that 'off the rails' category. Shouldn't be around kids of any age. Should never be off meds. Shouldn't procreate. Throw in that fucktard she's with, and I'm expecting them to be back as a murder/suicide type of deal. |

True depeding on the diagnosis but statistically most mentally ill people do not commit violent acts as much as we are inclined to believe. This says there is more to violence than just being mentally ill. It is time to quit looking at all mental illness as people not being responsible for their actions. Much of what is diagnosed as mental illness is rather problem coping behaviors meaning medication may help some but the person still needs to control how they deal with life. Very few mental illness diagnoses are like schizophrenia where the person is in fact out of their mind and unaware of their actions.

Supposedly he kicked her door in and the argument began. Her mom says that was what triggered her mental issues....fear. So was this a result of her underlying illness or did the argument just get that out of hand? Not every woman is a nice person. They abuse just as much as men. Domestic disputes can get terrifying for children caught in the crossfire.

Hmm, yes they do. (abuse as much as men) That older girl having to live with that is just as abusive, albeit not life threatening, as what the poor baby is going through in these few minutes. And her abuse is being perpetrated by both of her "parents". Both adults in this situation are incredibly abusive in many ways.  This is another reason. I hate people, we are so fucked. |
