Re: Meat From Diseased Animals Approved For Consumers

It was on Facebook & hopefully not real. Problem is I've known two different people who have discovered cysts while eating. Both chicken. I actually was there for one of these two instances. It was a long time before I ate chicken again. And when I was 17 working at capt d's a lady brought her fish back to the counter white worms moving on the plate. The worms survived capture, flash freezing, & cooking in boiling oil. Still alive. So if this can happen, I am not in the least surprised at this story.
it's not that the story is fake, it's just old. it's a 14 year old change.

i've eaten fish with parasites in it before as well... no harm done.

im not saying you're lying or anything but i have a hard time buying that worms survived being cooked.... meaning, i wonder if the food was mishandled and improperly cooled and cooked. worms in particular should have been able to survive that. the fda regs are really only guidlines. they cant watch everybody so i just assume all food is dirty.

if you really want to be disturbed, look up how much rat hair and insects the FDA allows in peanut butter and other food. we eat a ton of bugs (like, pounds) a year because it's nearly impossible to get 'clean' food.

I have found whole rats in peanut butter!

But the. Again, I'm the one who let them in there. Greedy little bastards act like I never feed them. (I have pet rats)

Re: Meat From Diseased Animals Approved For Consumers

the original story was from 2000... so, this isnt anything new. it's a 14 year old news story....

http://news.google.com/newspapers?ni...g=4626,6502405

and i dont buy that the picture is real either. the story is dated and pretty sensationalized as well....
I'm interested in the accordion story below this one in your link, Kanda!

I used to play a pretty white and gold one

Weird Al Yankovic beat me to it

im not very good and i havent mentioned it much here but when i was younger ( between 7 and 8 years old) i play accordion also. i sucked at it though. it was my dad's.... he was pretty good at it and would preform locally as a kid. he had a really nice pearlish green one with pearl accents (they all seem to have the 'pearlish' look to them ) and a white one. he sold them when i was 8 so i didnt get to continue playing... i switched instruments.
