Re: Mass Shooting in Lewiston
It was like this with Sandyhook too. And if you think that out loud you’re reviled. People used to ask questions and require evidence. Now they just have faith that the people controlling their lives will control them responsibly.

Re: Mass Shooting in Lewiston
So you’re saying you’re used to just believing whatever you’re told on tv without requiring proof. Got it.

Re: Mass Shooting in Lewiston
Can we stay on-topic and not waste time arguing over our opinions? They don’t matter anyways, so why waste time on it. To me, DR is a good place to keep up with the news from a much less opinionated source than tv/news companies offer, and to see what’s been omitted from the news. I keep checking in to see if there’s updates only to to see what might as well be an argument over who bleached their asshole better. Take that to Falsebook or Twatter so that the real news here isn’t getting buried by bleached assholes. Thanks.

Re: Mass Shooting in Lewiston
It's very easy to explain actually. Perhaps in large cities people have no qualms about getting in the way of investigations and recording all the bodies and gore to earn subscriptions and upvotes, but in tight knit communities where everyone knows each other, there still exists a certain amount of respect for the dead, for the victims, and for the families that are impacted. Simple as that. |

Re: Mass Shooting in Lewiston
From CNN: "The note, described by the official, essentially gave information and instruction to others about where things could be found and disposed of — ultimately suggesting when it was found or read that Card would no longer be alive." And.. "Investigators searched Card’s car yesterday and recovered a .308-caliber AR-15 rifle, according to a law enforcement official. A second law enforcement official told CNN that the weapon is similar in description and caliber to the gun used in the attack." There's a little more detail on the "note" authorities found. And the first I've heard that makes it look like he left the rifle with his car. I'm not totally sure what to make of all that, but it makes me feel like he's not hiding out in survival mode if he didn't take his rifle with him. |
