Re: Marijuana Use Linked to Psychotic Disorders
There is a large amount of evidence that has found that cannabis use increases the incidence of psychosis. For instance, if you have a genetic predisposition to psychosis then there is a good chance that cannabis will precipitate this. You can also get drug induced psychosis that would not otherwise have occurred if you perhaps didn’t smoke it but this is unusual to occur without other drugs being involved. The symptoms of cannabis abuse is clearly outlined in the ICD-10 and DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for mental health (the classifications of mental and behavioural disorders). And I, a person who works in an acute psychiatric unit, sees this shit every day at work. So please, enough with the conspiracy theory bullshit |

Re: Marijuana Use Linked to Psychotic Disorders
I haven't smoked for years now, but I did for years and can tell you that some weed is very pleasant, and some just messes with your head, makes you paranoid and anxious. Just an educated guess as to which one is more likely to cause psychosis. |

Re: Marijuana Use Linked to Psychotic Disorders
Oh really?? Have you used it? Was it organic? Most people smoke weed from Mexico, which I can GUARANTEE has pesticides all over it. Oh yeah, psychosis? You try smoking a plant covered in pesticides and see if it doesn't fuck up YOUR mind. If weed were legal we wouldn't be dealing with this shit anyways. Mental people would be getting help, not going to prison. |
