Re: Man Killed With Single Punch After Approaching Cyclist On Pavement
I’m not discrediting what you have said, it’s your opinion and everyone is permitted opinions. What I’m interested in, is.......... If he didn’t mean to kill him, then how come he aimed straight at the head? He wasn’t fighting an opponent here; You can see he left his own face and body unprotected, pulled his arm way back for more power [like a pitcher in a baseball game] and let it fly. Not a jamb/punch in the stomach, not a kick in the shins, not a shove to the chest, but a huge powerful strike directly to the head. There was so much intent to do harm in that hit. Not just get out of my way, but I’m going to hurt you bad. Once he executed his punch and saw the fellow was completely out. Did he stop to see or render assistance in case he hurt him more than he meant too? So what do you think his intent was? How bad do you think his hit was meant to be? Broken jaw, head injuries, broken nose? What is a reasonable injury when you hit someone who is not threatening you with bodily harm at all? As I said, just interested in your opinion. |

Re: Man Killed With Single Punch After Approaching Cyclist On Pavement
If youre mad at someone, spit on them or stomp their foot. Dont punch them as hard as you freaking can right in the head. What a vicious, stupid animal. That said if anyone tells me riding a bike on the sidewalk is dangerous I always tell them that it is not nearly as dangerous as riding a bike on the street in traffic. Bikers are killed all of the time by getting run over but I have NEVER heard of someone dying from being hit by a bike on a sidewalk.

Re: Man Killed With Single Punch After Approaching Cyclist On Pavement
In Louisiana, the sentence for second-degree battery -- which results in things like broken bones, dislodged teeth, substantial blood loss, etc. -- starts at 3 years. Yet this guy kills a man and only gets one year beyond that? He should have been sentenced to at least 10 to 12. |
