Re: London Terrorist Attack
A complete nutter by all accounts, police found his journal detailing how he wanted to 'die as a martyr' along with a load of knives and bb guns in his house. From the BBC news site: Amman was first arrested in north London in May 2018 by armed officers on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, although he was not ultimately charged with doing so. The prosecution instead related to his ownership and distribution of terrorist propaganda and instructional manuals. At the time, he was living in Harrow and studying science and maths at a local college. He had come to the attention of counter-terrorism police in April 2018 when a Dutch blogger made officers aware of postings on the Telegram messaging app. Forensic specialists recovered in more than 349,000 media files from Amman's devices The posts included a photo showing an image of a knife along with two firearms on a Shahada flag along with Arabic words meaning: "Armed and ready April 3". The blogger, who focused on exposing online extremism, also said the same person had linked to a YouTube video of a pro-gay rights speaker who frequented Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park. The post called on others to "all unite together to attack one another. He will be there this Sunday at Hyde Park". 'There were armed police everywhere' Video shows moments after police shooting Police enquiries showed the user of the relevant Telegram account was Amman and a decision was taken to arrest him. Amman had elsewhere written of how he was thinking of conducting a terror attack in north London and that he had conducted reconnaissance. Detectives discovered that the student had shared an al-Qaeda magazine in a family WhatsApp group. The then-teenager also sent other extremist content to his younger siblings and exclaimed "the Islamic State is here to stay". A BB gun was recovered when the Met Police searched his home in Harrow The WhatsApp group - entitled La Familia - included images of Amman's younger siblings in poses reminiscent of IS supporters such as one-finger salutes and wielding weaponry. In messages with one family member Amman suggested that as Yazidi women are slaves the Koran makes it permissible to rape them. He sent beheadings videos to his girlfriend - whom he said should kill her "kuffar" parents - and told her: "If you can't make a bomb because family, friends or spies are watching or suspecting you, take a knife, molotov, sound bombs or a car at night and attack the tourists (crusaders), police and soldiers of taghut, or Western embassies in every country you are in this planet." |

Re: London Terrorist Attack
Of course I do, hence the reason I'm not a religious fuckwit. I asked you what Jihad and ISIS are or mean, you failed to answer the question. The reason I asked the question was because you seem to think that religion wasn't the key factor in why he got all stabby. |

Re: London Terrorist Attack
Jihad = a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam. ISIS = Islamic State of Iraq and Syria I’m aware of the meaning and how these people have fooled themselves that it’s their religion that they’re fighting for. In reality they’re fighting for nothing. No I don’t believe that his religion was the key factor for him stabbing others. If he misunderstands reality, and goes out and commits murder, that’s his fault not the religion. In the Bible there are many verses also commanding Christians to slay non-believers. Yet when Christians kill no one brings up their religion as fault. People of Christian backgrounds kill others all the time |

Re: London Terrorist Attack
How many Christian massmurders happened in recent years? If there are verses in the bible (and other religious texts and scripts) still about killing non-believers, why are they (other religions) showing more restraint compared to Jihadi's? If they didn't scream out god is great when they committed atrocities it'd be (possibly) harder to tell it was an attack based on religion. |

Re: London Terrorist Attack
Last year there was a ton of mass shootings. The reason they show more restrain is because the majority of Christians have not actually read the Bible. It is the most purchased book but yet it’s the least read. People have used verses from the Quran to justify blaming religion for the acts of others. It’s not that black and white. Why do you think they have certain experts to find out killer’s true motives? People want something to point the finger at, and rather than point the fingers at themselves they like to blame: video games, religion, politics etc. It’s a scapegoat and a lousy one, because I don’t see religion going anywhere any time soon, do you? |
