Re: Large Soft Drinks To Be Illegal In New York

Well, you did it to yourselves. I still don't quite understand why make such a big deal out of it. The largest drink you could have here is the legendary 16 oz and we pay five times as much as you do for it. Imagine paying 11 dollars for a burger and fries - like we do in Europe.
hmm interesting.. theres a place here in NYC called Pete's Burger.. or Petey.. whatever.. but I was surprised to see that their burger is 4.49 and their fries are about the same price.. I would never again buy from that place.. not only because of the price but it just seems like their fries and burger are something I can make myself at home.. their fries especially.. not worth the price.

I can think of a few places where a burger and fries can total above $11. Now McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, etc. are usually less than $8 with a ~32oz drink.

I agree that people should decide what they do, but apart from that, whatever happened to drinking plain water? Its the best to kill your thirst in my opinion.

While personally I'm with you, most people I know find water to be insufferably bland
