This is bullshit. They would ban large size soft drinks because it might be a cause of obesity (it's not, if you exercise properly btw), but at the same time they do jackshit about tobacco products? How about introducing a very strict control of motor vehicles inside the city due to harmful gas emission? Im not against either one, you do what you damn well please, just pointing out the hypocrisy of this. If the mayor would be really concerned about people's health, there would have been hundreds of other ways to do this (and maybe they shouldnt start with the freaking soft drinks). |

Are a lot of people there living paycheck to paycheck? The problem is I'd say a lot of people commute 40+ miles to get to work. In the countries I've been to it seems gas is more expensive but everything is closer so you're actually spending less. |
