Yeah I know, He also denounced it later.

Senator Robert Byrd (among others), a Democrat, joined the KKK in the '50's or '60's I believe, I find that more troubling than a monument to an old war.

Or, what's REALLY disturbing, is all the discrimination going on at places like this:

That's the stuff people need to be upset about, not about what happened a long time ago.

And the monument was not to him being in the KKK
