Re: Jared Fogle Attacked by Inmate
Well... as you can imagine the prison version is a bit different: The "recipient" is on his back (bunk, desk, whatever the terrain dictates) with his legs raised in the air. The "giver" is standing upright facing the recipient, hands firmly clasping the ankle area of the recipient, pounding away. There may be variations present, such as extra inmates holding down the aforementioned recipient. You may also encounter such things as "the four-legged beast" (most noticeable when the fore and hind pairs are different colors). You learn rather quickly to conduct a thorough reconnaissance of latrine stalls before entering, lest you be surprised. You cannot unsee what has been seen; though you may gouge out your eyes, the memory remains. |

Re: Jared Fogle Attacked by Inmate
Indeed. One thing about inmates, they tend to be strict sanitarians. People who don't clean themselves or their areas are shunned or given some wall-to-wall counseling. It's a disease paradise, and most of them know and respect that. |

Re: Jared Fogle Attacked by Inmate
It's a perfect breeding ground for disease. Tight quarters, poor standards of medical care, and I'm sure you can imagine that many people come there already with a host of diseases. It's mostly up to the inmates to take care of themselves in that regard. You have to smuggle certain cleaning supplies, and even trash bags were considered contraband. You're in an environment where bored guys have the time and inmate ingenuity to create weapons and intoxicants out of pretty much anything, so materials are strictly controlled. Unfortunately that's not very good for disease control. You just have to stay on top of things. Washing your hands constantly. Finding and stashing bleach or other disinfectants whenever and wherever you can, regardless of the possible sanctions you may face if you're caught. Losing your privileges, forfeiting your good time, and getting sent to the hole sucks... but it's better than getting some of the illnesses that can run rampant in an institution. I think the worst thing I've come across, and really the only thing I ever sort of freaked put about, was MRSA. That stuff is just plain nasty, and everybody knows it. That's why they don't tolerate "vikings". |

Re: Jared Fogle Attacked by Inmate
That would be letting him off too easily, let him carry out his sentence in mental agony and fear. Let them humiliate him, torture him and break him down. Then on his second to last day, tear him up and twist his neck If all this happens, prison has served its purpose |
