If this is legit, then God bless that sniper. His timing couldn't have been more perfect |

Re: ISIS Executioner is Beheaded by SAS Sniper's Bullet ...
There is a lot of BS in this story. 4,000 yards is over 2 miles. A large caliber rifle bullet can travel that far, but you will never hit anything as small as a head other than by blind stupid luck. And even if a head was hit, it wouldn't be the same head you were aiming at. Also, "Instead, the first bullet - designed to tumble as it travels, in order to maim - struck him in the back of the head.". No bullet is "designed to tumble as it travels". You immediately lose all accuracy that way. You would be lucky to be able to 'reliably' place a shot at 100 feet with a tumbling bullet. |

Agreed that the story sounds kind of off, but mostly due to it being publicised. They stated 4000ft, not 4000yds. As far as tumbing, I'm chalking that up to journalistic ignorance... tumbling after entering tissue is what they probably meant. |

anyone with half a brain could've read through the mistakes and figured the journalist is probably uneducated when it comes the ballistics.....oswald doesn't have that obviously... wounding bullets?? not likely |

Indeed. The brit who popped the Taliban dudes in 2009 took his shots at over 1.5 miles.
