I take back what I said previously, I do recall hearing about this years ago, or rather hearing about the root of the problem, no pun intended considering the problem is a rootkit :D TDSS has been around since 07 or 08 I believe, and the TDSS rootkit is what facilitated the "DNS changer" which is causing the problem, even though it is so elegantly simple, the 7 people from Estonia and Russia that were behind this, made $14 million profit just by redirecting users for advertisements and DCWG seems to be "ok" even though I scoff at the thought of having some website tell me weather or not my DNS settings are correct PFFT also, I work as a satellite internet installer.. so I guess I have an unfair advantage, fuckin rocket science man! |

FBI are so fucking stupid. They should make their DNS servers direct all traffic to a single page where people can download and run a fix. If they were even smarter, they could include a backdoor virus in the fix. Everybody wins!  |
