Re: Hundreds of Thousands May Lose Internet in July
Internet Explorer...lol. Firewall (not Norton/windows shit), anti virus, anti malware and common sense plus a little bit of know-how helps out a lot these days. If however some serial rapist loses his porn connection in July and realises who did it, lets just say he should have full cooperation with the culprits. |

Re: Hundreds of Thousands May Lose Internet in July
Really? sure! I will gladly let the FBI "scan" my PC to tell me if I am "infected" >.> If I am to understand this correctly, a group of hackers somehow infected, or judging by the way it is worded, infiltrated already infected PCs and redirected them all to servers they own, then the FBI busts them and takes control of the servers or rather, "replaced" the servers with new "safe" servers, allowing all the infected PCs access to the interwebs, so then they decide not to tell anyone and just run these servers for awhile? until it starts to cost too much, then articles start popping up about whats happened, the likelihood that every "infected" PC user will find one of these articles? pretty low probably why not just redirect every PC accessing the servers to a page explaining whats happening? then give them instructions on how to change their DNS settings or provide a link to software that will correct the problem for them easy as that, no? I could be wrong I suppose, since I have no idea how these PCs were "reprogrammed" as they put it, but I would guess it really is that simple also, I call BS |

Re: Hundreds of Thousands May Lose Internet in July
This has been discussed in various posts on the Norton Security forums, and it seems the site (www.dcwg.org) is totally legit. http://community.norton.com/t5/Norto.../701487#M70447 Checked mine and, I got a green light. Pheeww |
