Re: House Panel Approves Measure to Require Women to Register for Draft
It's already taking place where there's pressure on military leadership to pass women. Even though if they were men they'd fail due to not being able to perform at an acceptable level. If the physical test require a soldier be able to perform at a certain level. And that level is lowered to allow females to pass. Then we are weakening our military. |

I'm speaking of course of our SF and assault troops. Who are highly trained and go through rigorous training and have a high failure rate even among men.

Re: House Panel Approves Measure to Require Women to Register for Draft
UPDATE The Senate on Tuesday passed a sweeping defense policy bill that includes among its many Pentagon reforms a provision requiring women to register for the draft as well as authorization of $602 billion in defense spending for the new 2017 fiscal year. The defense bill passed the Senate largely unchanged from the version approved last month by the Senate Armed Services Committee. Sen. McCain had sought to add $18 billion in additional defense spending through an amendment on the floor, but the proposal — as well as a Democratic counter-proposal to add an equal amount of domestic spending — was defeated. Tuesday’s final vote on the Senate bill was enough to override any veto threat from the White House. In all, Republicans voted 48-6 on the bill and Democrats voted 37-7. http://archive.is/Jzt00 (politico, June 2016) |
