The House Armed Services Committee approved by a narrow margin (32 to 30) an amendment to a defense bill to require women to register for the draft.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, a Republican from California who proposed the amendment to lift the restriction on women registering for the selective service said, "Right now the draft is sexist. Right now the draft only drafts young men. Women are excluded."

I've always believed that if women want to be special services and on the front line , they should be signed for selective services ...

The left has pushed so hard to prove equality adgenda ... No matter what,a woman is weaker and less equipped for front line ground battle ... With few exceptions......

Want to talk about another baby boom ,, sign all the young girls up for selective service then let there be another big war ...

I feel that women should be protected from harm AND negative influence. After all, they are the ones raising subsequent generations. That's what feminists don't seem to understand - their own value and importance in the long term. Those days are long gone.

But let's be real here. A drafted female will be assigned a non-combat position. And, were there to be a big war, the baby boom would happen before "draft" could be uttered by the president. Pregnancy could be the next mainstream method of draft dodging.

We might see a national conversation about the responsibilities that come with feminist demands. That would be cool, but I doubt treated in earnest.
