Re: Grieving Dolphin Carries Her Dead Calf Around.
Aww. Amazing though not surprising, given their vast intellect. I know this is irrelevant to the post's subject, but this is one area that I dislike about the Japanese; their whale and dolphin hunting. I often wonder what must be going through the dolphin's mind seeing their own slaughtered by humans, for it's not like they don't have the capacity to understand. I just hope that this in turn doesn't make them hate and fear humans... |

Re: Grieving Dolphin Carries Her Dead Calf Around.
It's kind of stupid and arrogent for that the scientist to say that the mother dolphin wouldn't know it's offspring was dead. The sign of a grieving parent not wanting to let go of it's child should have been obvious. Humans grieve and tend to deny what has happened to loved ones, especially children, all the time. |

Re: Grieving Dolphin Carries Her Dead Calf Around.
I just wonder why it takes frigging scientists to point out the fact animals have feelings and sense things. Just because they don't have human brains does not make them any less worthy or capable of mourning or fighting for their young. It's humans that need to be studied...to find out why some of us, with our so called developed brains choose to use them in such awful ways. Good post Kelly. |
