Walmart employees share 'there's no way' their 19-year-old co-worker locked herself in a walk-in oven and "baked to death"
- In one video, TikTok user Chris Breezie explains that the oven she used while working at Walmart turned on from the outside and that the door handle was "really hard" to open.
- "I don't even know if I would fit in here," she said. "I'm 5 foot 1, medium built. I would have to crouch down to get in." Breezie also pointed out that there was an emergency latch located inside the oven, nor were there any tasks that required a person to enter the oven physically.
- "I would never be in here, whether I'm cleaning it or not," she said. According to the employee, in order to lock the oven, "you have to push [the latch] with all your might and pull the handle to the side and lock it in place." She added: "There is no way possible somebody could lock themselves in there."

From the 911 call. "Female employee is locked inside oven. Oven is on. Unsure if staff is able to turn it off."

This case continues to be an active criminal investigation.

I work at a large industrial bakery. If you were trapped in one of our ovens, you would have minutes, if that, to breathe, as there is no air to breathe apart from the sort that will burn your throat and lungs.

There is no way to lock the oven from the inside, and the doors are heavy and hard to close from the outside. How this happened is a bit iffy, to say the least.

Well, just finding her dead in the oven is one thing. If she actually DIED in there when it was operating is something else. Hope they clarify the news story. They shouldn't release a story about it at all, if it is just half-baked theory!
