At approximately 0228, LAPD and LAFD responded to multiple reports of a traffic collision. Arriving units found a Luxury SUV, Possibly a Range Rover, with major damage around the vehicle with two occupants trapped in the vehicle. The driver was declared dead at the scene. While Firefighters were working to free the trapped passenger, she succumbed to her injuries. It is unknown if speed is a factor in this collision, although the vehicle appears to have come off the roadway, striking a wall multiple times before coming to a rest in the Shopping Center Parking lot. LAPD Valley Traffic is handling the investigation. Ventura Blvd is completely shut down near the accident scene. |
