Former NBA Forward Rasual Butler and Wife, Died in Highspeed Crash
  Former NBA star Rasual Butler was killed in a car crash early Wednesday morning along with his wife, Leah LaBelle. According to TMZ, Butler and his wife lost their lives in a single-car crash early Wednesday morning in Studio City, CA. Butler’s car flipped after he struck a parking meter and crashed into a wall around 2:00 am. Police believe the car was speeding before the crash. The 38-year-old was drafted into the NBA as part of the Miami Heat in 2002. Butler played in the NBA until 2016. He played stints as a member of the Hornets, Clippers, Bulls, Raptors, Pacers, Wizards and Spurs. He most recently played in Ice Cube’s BIG3 league last summer. Butler was drafted into the NBA after playing for La Salle where he was a 2-time First Team All-Atlantic 10 Player. Butler’s wife was a former contestant on “American Idol”. Leah LaBelle was an R&B singer signed to Epic Records. She came in 12th place on the 3rd Season of “American Idol” in 2004. Rasual Butler is survived by his daughter from a previous relationship, Raven Butler.     |

The story refers to him as a "star". That's getting a little carried away, he was more an average NBA player, that never really made a name for himself.
