I am as well. I'm not sure why a Judge would rule this way, unless it's for some goofy reason such as getting their name out there if "jahi wakes up" I mean, seriously, there is no valid reason to do this, unless the Judge is not understanding of the term brain dead, or felt pressured?

You're sitting in the middle of a room with 5-6 highly educated doctors telling you one thing and a family with the most educated person as an LVN, saying another. Who do you believe?
If the law is going to start making decisions based on emotions, then you have to do that for everyone. (Now you must feel bad for John Doe who molested and raped little Susie because it happened to him as child, too.) There's a reason why we have laws and stacks of case law for you judges to refer to.
I haven't read through the entire, All nurses, website, but I did read where others were worried this case was going to set precedent, as well.

I don't even want to get into family members being allowed to say when their family member is actualy dead now, too.

You and I and most normal people would tend to believe the doctors...no clue what that Judge was smoking

Scary thought, having tons of families carting around their dead relatives. We joke about "Weekend at Bernies", but this is pretty damn close.

Yep, at that point, what is the reason for even having a doctor or coroner? Let everyone make their own decisions.
