Same thing here. I walk everywhere and I encounter this all the time... like it's such a big salty pain in the ass for these drivers to get to their destination 30 seconds later than planned.

Because people are so stupid or ignorant here, they have added additional flashing lights, big stop signs that come out and barricades similar to railroad crossings, but, smaller and people are still fucking assholes!

CLEVELAND -- A woman caught on camera driving on a sidewalk to avoid a Cleveland school bus that was unloading children will have to stand at an intersection wearing a sign warning about idiots.

Court records show a Cleveland Municipal Court judge on Monday ordered 32-year-old Shena Hardin to stand at an intersection for two days next week. She will have to wear a sign saying: "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."

The judge ordered her to wear the sign from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. both days.

Hardin's license was suspended for 30 days and she was ordered to pay $250 in court costs.

Messages seeking comment were left at a telephone listing for Hardin and at her attorney's office.

While I agree that passing a stopped school bus is asinine, school buses should pull over and let vehicles pass them so that they don't impede them by stopping every few blocks.

CLEVELAND (AP) - A woman caught on camera driving on a sidewalk to pass a Cleveland school bus that was unloading children stood in the cold at an intersection holding a sign warning people about idiots.

A Cleveland Municipal Court judge ordered 32-year-old Shena Hardin to serve the highly public sentence for one hour Tuesday and Wednesday. She arrived bundled up against the 34-degree cold, puffing a cigarette, wearing head phones and avoiding comment as passing vehicles honked.

Satellite TV trucks were on hand to stream the event live near downtown Cleveland.

The sign read: "Only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."

Hardin's license was suspended for 30 days and she was ordered to pay $250 in court costs.

Seems like WAY too light a sentence and fine considering her previous driving infractions.
