Cops catch Jeep driver illegally passing on sidewalk:

And now in Cleveland, Ohio, a driver in a Jeep was caught passing another vehicle illegally … by driving on the sidewalk.

According to newsnet5.com, a bus had been stopped to pick up a handicapped child, and the mother of the Jeep driver said the bus took “an inordinate amount of time,” and her daughter was trying to get to school. The mom also said in the story that her daughter was trying to give the bus plenty of room.

Apparently, that’s not the first time the Jeep driver has done something like this. She was notorious for recklessly driving around the bus, and police had been notified by the bus driver to be on the look out.

You can see in the video that a cop was waiting for her on the next street over after she passed the school bus.
The children on the bus cheered as they saw the blue lights flash behind the young driver. “Justice has been served,” the bus driver is heard saying.

Cleveland Metropolitan School District bus driver captured video of a female motorist driving on the sidewalk to avoid stopping for the bus loading and unloading children. The driver was caught on cell phone camera Tuesday morning. Cleveland police released the driver’s name late Tuesday afternoon. She is 32-year-old Shena Hardin, of Cleveland. Hardin was not arrested, but cited for not stopping for the school bus. CMSD driver Uriah Herron is credited by supervisors for his quick thinking to nab the driver on camera. The driver’s sidewalk detours appear to be a daily occurrence. “We had a very conscientious driver for 30 years. He really cares about his children and he took the extra step that this doesn’t happen again,” said CMSD Bus Manager Eric Taylor. The incident happened at East 38th Street between Superior and Payne Avenue.
