Where did you hear or read that? It's probably a rumor, since officials have not said what kind of gun he used or where he might have obtained it. EDIT: I do seem to remember reading right after it happened that it was a sawed-off shotgun? That he had it stuck down his baggy pants, does that sound familiar? What I really want to know is how the hell he managed to get a gun into a school!! It must have been small and he had it stashed in his bag or pocket? |

I used to think only cowards commited suicide, until my brother drank himself to death in 2010. It's hard when you can't help someone. He tried to get help, but, the system failed him miserably. He was told by rehabs, he was either too drunk or too sober to be admitted. I drove him with his bags packed. I do think living is harder, but, I'm not making light of anyone who lost someone this way. Unfortunately, if someone wants to die, they will find a way. My brother drank himself to death and had a high level of diphenhydramine in his sytem. I miss him, but, I feel bad for my mother the most. We lost my father in 2008, my youngest brother in 2009 in a fire and then, the oldest in 2010. I don't think when a person is set on dying they think of others. I'm not sure it's selfish anymore. I think they are so delusional, as my oldest brother was, he saw that as his only way out of the pain he felt in this life. I sincerely hope there is something better. He would have given you the shirt off his back when he was sober. He went from being a funny drunk to an obnoxious pain in the ass sometimes. He told everyone not to contact him anymore in the weeks before his death and tried to pick fights with everyone. I can only guess he wanted everyone mad so he wouldn't feel guilty. Who knows? |

He mentioned numerous times how he was feeling so why the fuck did it come to this, it's just a sign of the times that nobody gives a shit anymore, kudos to him for not doing a "Columbine" but having said that doing it in a crowded place WAS selfish.

Where he did it was pretty selfish. Had he just wanted to off himself and not been trying to prove a point to someone he would have done it at home. I read somewhere that he had been having relationship issues and that may have been the problem. He did it where he did it to prove a point and cause others grief. That was selfish. The fact he was that distressed, depressed and felt useless is so sad.
