Dentist Covers Child's Mouth to "Shut Him or Her Up"

Delaware State Police arrested a Lewes dentist on charges of offensive touching after the doctor allegedly held his hand over a crying 8-year-old’s mouth and told the kid to “shut up,” police say.

Bruce Fisher turned himself into police Friday after an arrest warrant was issued for the dentist. A family member of the child, who was in the room at the time of the alleged incident, had reported Fisher’s conduct to police.

The offensive touching occurred at about 10 a.m. Wednesday when the 8-year-old began screaming after a medical procedure, police say.

Fisher was arraigned and released on $500 unsecured bail.

Oh gimme a fuckin break. When I was a kid, the principal used to leave marks in our arms from grabbin us. We used to get grabbed by the ears even. My sister used to get the ruler at the same school I went to. Dentist prolly did the same thing to me at some point cuz I was four years old getting a filling a screaming. Now people are like waaa they put my kid in a box waaa dont touch my kid waaa.

You know what? there are worse things to worry about. To spend time and money and put people in jail. Like guns at school. Or sexual harassment, even racism anything but bullshit like this.

That doesn't make it right. The dentist was probably just worried about his wallet if patients heard screaming. I'd take my child out of there! The child may have been in pain or just scared.

I had a dentist give me five needles to numb my lower jaw telling me how Laws of Dentistry stated I should be numb. I wasn't until several injections.

Way to traumatize a kid. Dentists have a high suicide rate. Because not many people like a trip to the dentist. Or is it because they are weird? My dentist is a weirdo.

I dont like how its classified as "Inappropriate touching", that brings the wrong thing to mind.

Now his criminal record is going to say "Inappropriate touching of a minor". as opposed to "Covered a goddamn whiny child's mouth who was over-reacting to get attention".

hmm.. thats weird.. i read it as "offensive touching". maybe somethings wrong with my screen..

Same with my husband. He didnt get numb til 7 shots. I believe that's the max amount they are allowed to give you

dentists do that shit all the time...only difference with this one is that he had the parent in the room.

I remember my dentist being a fucking prick when I was a kid.

im a dental assistant, and these screaming kids are tortured by their parents not taking care of their teeth. poor kid probily had a mouth full of rot thanks to the negligence of the parents. i feel really bad for the poor kid and the fustriated dentist who has to see this shit all day long.BELIEVE ME the dentist wanted to punch the parent in the face and give them a painfull full mouth procedure and let the parent SCREAM in pain instead of the poor kid.parents look like assholes when their kids are dirty and unkept but no one cares that the parents allow their kids mouths to rot away.
...okay im done ranting and raving, sorry guys.
