I'm amazed no one has tried to have a pop at Blair, tbh. Remember the "New Labour, New Danger" billboards about him in the 90s? I thought they were silly at the time, being in my teens and not as politically savvy as I am now, but the Conservatives were right about him. |

In light of David Amess' murder, Boris Johnson is going to grant the town of Southend city status which is something Amess had championed for during his lifetime. Southend jokes aside, I think this is a lovely and fitting gesture. |
