No one is trying to convince anyone else that more guns equals less crime. Why would it? Knives, hammers and axes.
More guns won't decrease crime. However, more legal citizens carrying guns will reduce the amount of casualties said criminal can inflict before being dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Unless it's in a "Gun Free Zone". But, I suppose the criminal will acknowledge that and change his mind before continuing with assault...
