Re: Concealed Weapon Holder Kills Chcago Robber
"It wouldn't have happened if the victims were armed" Jesus fucking Christ adding MORE guns, does not stop them from shooting you at least once before you realize what's going on, and potentially killing you. Explain to me how adding MORE guns will stop armed robbers from having access to guns to do the robbings in the first place? State of mind is everything...when you're ready to kill someone and are already drawn, loaded and aimed when you walk into a building, you have a much higher chance of being the victor in a robber vs. customer/employee shootout, because when you're deciding what kind of chips you want or thinking about how soon the customer will leave so you can throw a piss, you aren't all that prepared for an emergency or to shoot anyone. It always comes as a surprise, robbers don't (usually) call ahead and let you know they will be there with guns blazing in an hour. So the criminal (who has not only a real gun but intentions to shoot) usually has the element of surprise work to their favour. Gun toting enthusiasts need to accept the fact that guns do not solve problems, they create them. And if for any reason, any small tiny excuse you can weasel from the depths of your ass hat to defend guns, and your american "right" to bear them, I'd like to refer you to the statistics for gun related deaths. Compare them to Canada's. That should be enough said but you no doubt are a moron if you support arming the general public so I'll continue. Most think that guns are flat out illegal in Canada. They aren't. We hunt just like everyone, but not with handguns, and require licenses. We also don't make excuses to prepare for something that will never come (I.e. Zombies you retarded 'apocalypse preppers') so we don't have caches of hand guns for our children to find and shoot their friends with. Oh that would never happen to you? Because you're responsible right? So long as decent and respectful people take the necessary precautions to store their guns unloaded and locked away children will never get shot. But we are talking about America here and although you don't want to admit it, you aren't running short of crazy assholes who mass murder on a regular basis. Even just ignorant regular joes who's kids are smarter than them, have their children find their guns all the time and end up shooting themselves or a friend. Of course it was bought with intentions on protecting the family if an intruder ever came in or something of the like. Which brings me back to the fact that no one is ever ready for an attack, and when your unloaded handgun that is stored in a locked box in your closet that you can't remember where you put the key to, crosses your mind after the robber has already killed your family or tied you up, you'll realize keeping it there like that doesn't protect anyone at all. Maybe leading you to leave it out in the first place, or after. Where children and robbers get to them easier, and the guns are then used in future robbings and murders. Go ahead and argue with me and I'll show you a minimum of ten examples of children killing themselves or a friend with a parents gun, or robbers killing others with guns they have stolen during home burglaries. So NO, more guns is not the answer. Less is more in this case. Less guns equals more people living. Don't forget we are only talking about America here, no where else has kid gun murder stats quite like you do. And that's why you should at least make progress towards stricter requirements and licenses for guns, or ban them from the public, anything. You won't though, and that's ok with me. Less is more. |

Re: Concealed Weapon Holder Kills Chcago Robber
I'd to follow that up with I believe the shooter was justified in this case, wether or not the gun was real only became significant after the incident. He believed it was real so did others, and that meant their life was at stake. It was a kill or be killed moment and he was correct in doing what he did. I'm not saying buddy deserved to die just because he robbed the store, but that's a chance you take when robbing somewhere/someone. He made that decision on his own and received the repercussions. Doesn't sound like he was a real contributor to society anyway.
