Re: Comparative Report on Prices for Healthcare in US and Other Countries
Why don't you do one on car insurance and cable too? These fucks have a monopoly or more specific, a oligopoly. A group of 5 fucks corner and control the market, while setting prices behind closed doors, so that they can sell par or sub quality goods or service while charging premium prices. We see this with energy too and its fucking disgusting. Fuck big business.

We have problems up here too..... We have an aging population, and they are putting a huge strain on the system. Some of the wait times are pretty long, if you need a new knee or something like that.

Re: Comparative Report on Prices for Healthcare in US and Other Countries
I don't have a problem with big business. I have a problem with most of the people that run them. The ones that want more for themselves and less for everyone else. Sadly, most big businesses are run by people like that. Look at the six [6] Walmart heirs of the Walton family, they have more money than the bottom 125,000,000 Americans combined. It would be amazing to see how many people they would be equal to from countries where Walmart's merchandise is made (India, China, etc.). I just wonder how bad will it have to get before people make a stand. But when you have rich people controlling the media to tell the middle class to blame the poor people.. |

Re: Comparative Report on Prices for Healthcare in US and Other Countries
Quality post man, this sums it up. Somehow the rich have managed to convince the poor ( through media ) to vote against their own interests. Look at the red states, they also happen to be the poorer states...... Its a fucked up situation. You have poor people voting to give their rich masters tax cuts, because they believe that it will benefit them somehow...... And anything otherwise is socialist. Who benefitted from free trade? Big business. |

Re: Comparative Report on Prices for Healthcare in US and Other Countries
I worked for an OB/GYN and he would buy the birth control implants Mirena, Implanon (and even Depo) from Canada for our patients in the office. The meds were for a lot cheaper than having to buy them here in the US, and the red tape restrictions were less too. Dr would be able to make a $400 - $600 profit from buying the meds in Canada, where as buying the meds here in the US, he would not get a profit.
