Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
yup, now this is all i'm going to hear about for the NEXT 6 months....so...fucking....tired.....of.....black idiocy. common sense tip: KIDS, don't brandish very realistic toy guns in public places. PARENTS, don't let your kids have very realistic toy guns. out of sheer coincidence, just yesterday i was handling one of these "Airsoft" toy M-16s when i was in a pawn shop, and i can assure you aside from the orange plastic barrel tip(which this kid removed), these things are VERY realistic, even from a few inches away, in bright light. |

Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
also- "the officers weren't told that the gun may be fake".....by this logic, ANY report of ANY gun could turn out to be fake, so should all cops assume all guns "might be fake" when they go out on a call? i don't think so, that's not how reality works.

You make perfect sense. Don't worry, as soon as the DR Anti-Police Brigade finds out you've made anything resembling a pro-police statement, you'll be shouted down, made fun of, laughed at, pigeon holed, and driven nuts trying to answer the same comments/questions over and over again. I'm sorry.

Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
I saw another video on the news today and I heard the recording of the dispatcher. She didn't tell the cops it may be fake like the caller in did. I highly doubt this would have happened if she did her job right. |

Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
It's neither a toy gun or a BB gun. It's an airsoft gun...look up airsoft guns on the Internet. These were never intended to be used or purchased by children...they are exact replicas of real firearms. They weigh the same, function the same, and look the same. This incident has nothing to do with the officers responding to the call and shooting this kid and it has nothing to do with the dispatcher's instructions...this has everything to do with parenting...period.

Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
I've seen better Bigfoot videos...you can't see shit in that video...and certainly not whether that kid was holding the handgun, had it shoved down his pants, or shoved up his butt. I can't make a clear determination whether he had the gun in his hands or not. But that's ok...all the progressives here on DR will instinctively know what happened because they care so much more than anyone else.

Re: Cleveland Police Shoot 12-Year-Old Holding BB Gun
They make BB guns that are replicas also.. Did you never have a BB gun or a toy gun as a kid? What are parents not supposed to buy they for their kids even if they fit the age range? Minnesota is the only state where there's a minimum age for kids to have an airsoft gun. In other states, a child of any age may own and shoot one. |
