Holy crap. That's scary! Well hopefully this story serves as a wake up call to the people you know to find a new church.

Re: Boy Forced to Dig Own Grave

Organized religion as a whole scares the shit out of me. The need to have others believe the exact same as you do lends itself to crazy sometimes. I truly hope the mother did not know about these acts and can hopefully help her son heal as well as possible. Scarred for life is right though. He'll never get over this. May grow up to be a nobel peace prize winner but he'll think of this from time to time. WANTED: Memory wipers. One-time use, pack of 10. Please.

Certain cases of abuse like this certainly warrant it.
I am also a proponent of the death penalty, however I believe that the way they do it now costs way to much (not as much as keeping them in prison for life though)

Instead, I think executions should only cost about 15 cents... funny that's the same price as a 9mm bullet.

That's fucked up. Wonder why the child was in a group home if his mother was around?

Those bastards need to be buried alive.

15 feet of rope is cheaper because it can be reused.

The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. This process is needed in order to ensure that innocent men and woman are not executed for crimes they did not commit, and even with these protections the risk of executing an innocent person can not be completely eliminated.

If the death penalty was replaced with a sentence of Life Without the Possibility of Parole, which costs millions less and also ensures that the public is protected while eliminating the risk of an irreversible mistake, the money saved could be spent on programs that actually improve the communities in which we live. The millions of dollars in savings could be spent on: education, roads, police officers and public safety programs, after-school programs, drug and alcohol treatment, child abuse prevention programs, mental health services, and services for crime victims and their families.

Re: Boy Forced to Dig Own Grave

Thanks, dyanamo! I always wondered what happened with the son. That won't ever go away. It's on one of the, "Faces of Death", series. I'm pretty sure the first one. Haven't watched them in a while.

That's what a good dad should do, if presented with the rotten outcome of the perp's, "punishment".

I have no doubt there would have been more victims.
