Bitter Ukrainian Disqualified For Refusing To Shake Hands With Russian Fencer
Ukrainian fencer Harlan was disqualified for refusing to shake hands with a Russian woman. Olga Harlan defeated Russian Anna Smirnova (15:7) and refused to shake her hand, but she remained on the track for 50 minutes to get the Ukrainian woman disqualified for disrespect (there really is such a rule). Harlan is the best, and the "narrow" must be kept on a leash in a cage until the end of their days.

Re: Bitter Ukrainian Disqualified For Refusing To Shake Hands With Russian Fencer
I will do the same too. I don't care if I get disqualified, especially for such patriotism reasoning. That's called principle. Unlike Russian that refuse to condemn the war, and yet run away when their own govt trying to recruit, even on another country, they still behave like elitist. Like they are above Ukrainian. I think they have word for Ukrainian in their language that is derogatory. I hate Russian because they are cowards.

BULLSHIT! The first thing they teach you in competitive sports is that, at the end, it's all a game, and both sides should be respectful to the other, REGARDLESS of what's going on outside of the field. This is why after a martial arts fight, both sides bow to the other, to show RESPECT. You wanna make a political statement, take it off the fucking court. If your opponent followed the rules of the tournament, you are OBLIGATED to show them the courtesy they deserve. Otherwise, you're just a poor sport who has no business competing professionally. |
