Re: Baby Drowns While Mother's on Facebook

thats terrible, one of my babies fell into a mop bucket, (I heard him, he's fine) that i'd left unattended, it really does only take a second. she made a mistake though, not gonna persecute her for that.
OH JEsus !!! That is so fucking scary !! And you are right though, and many people do not know this but babies drown in mop buckets frequently. Because of the weight of their heads, when they fall in head first, the head weighs them down.

I think you should tell people about your experience so that people will know not to leave their kids for periods of time when there is a mop bucket there. I mean you were right there and he still fell in, you're right that's how fast it happens. But alot of parents might leave the kid alone for several minutes no thinking the bucket is a threat. Also if they do inhale the water it usually has bleach or something in it.

Shit just google: Baby drowns in bucket. It's amazing how many hits you get !!!

Re: Baby Drowns While Mother's on Facebook

Johnson told police that she frequently left the boy unattended in the bathtub because he was “independent,” he liked to be left alone, and she didn’t want him to be a “mama’s boy,” according to the affidavit.

Police also questioned the boy’s grandmother, who said he suffered a seizure while she was baby-sitting him a month before he died. She told police she warned her daughter about leaving her grandson alone in the tub after the seizure.
These two paragraphs just baffle me. *facepalm*

Re: Baby Drowns While Mother's on Facebook

Hell I gave my girls their bath until they turned 5. And even then I sat in the bathroom with them. When they were tiny I would gather the bath stuff, put it in the bathroom and then take the baby for her bath. Not hard people, I think any childs life is worth 30 minutes of your time.
