Re: Atheist Teen Forces School to Remove Prayer from Wall After 49 Years
Wow, hadn't heard about this. I'm a little on each side so I'm not sure how I feel. At-least Rhode Island gets in the news for something other than corruption or a nightclub fire. As far as I'm concerned, this girl is cool. As of now, I live my life by what I see and feel and not by a book. I am into learning about science and evolution. Over here in Little Rhody, there are religious nuts EVERYWHERE who pretty much want to kill you for putting God down. Churches and such helping the homeless hate your guts if you are a not-believer and don't help you much at all. Cranston, huh? I could quickly ride my bike to her house and either kiss her or hit her in the kneecap than hightail it. Hmmmmm... ![]() Maybe I should leave burning bag of dog crap and a note that says "Documenting Reality." |

Re: Atheist Teen Forces School to Remove Prayer from Wall After 49 Years
Firstly, congrats to the girl, she did what every person should have done long time ago. Government institutions have no business in promoting one cult over another. And it is the law. Separation of church and state is the one thing that made USA so successful, the dream land where Europeans escaped during christian dark ages from persecution and slaughter. Read history books, what happened when religion had the power to do what it wanted, when it got away with everything. The rivers of blood and unimaginable torture perpetrated in the name of various cults. And it will happen again if theocracy gets in power. That's why its important to keep religion as far away from anything government related as possible. I would also remind you, cultists, that the bible hasnt changed. People who few hundred years ago slaughtered, tortured and burned people alive , read the same book that you do. The only difference is that they had the power to suppress the opposing side. That's it. Now, about the post im qutiong "The sin of man is what nailed Jesus to the cross" Not really. Thats what they teach in sunday school. In real life, if jesus existed, he got murdered by the opposing cult, and turned into legend later. Thats it. If he wanted to get killed and sacrifice his life to quench the blood lust of his father, he could have walked up to the roman warriors and given himself up....but no. Secondly i dont understand why christians mock god so much and make him look so weak and petty. For example, if he is a good god, why does he require a blood sacrifice, and...after the murder of jesus, he still adds a "condition" to the salvation. A price that cannot be paid....belief. Most cultists dont understand that belief is not a choice, and if belief is required for salvation, then....god set an impossible barrier to billions of people. A good god wouldnt have set any conditions. He would have given a second chance to everybody. Not to mention that a good god wouldnt have required a sacrifice in the first place. He could have forgiven without manslaughter. You may have heard the saying "two wrongs don't make a right" According to bible it does. People comited a crime = bad Nailing somebody to a piece of wood and torturing=Bad Add these bads together and you are supposed to get an OK out of it. The whole "jesus died for you" concept is a sickening attempt to abuse children´s natural capability to empathize and feel guilty. Its a way to inject guilt into decent people. Also, the whole concept of the original sin is so fucked up and disgusting, that i cant even begin to understand how any human being can associate it with a good god. Its like this. A guy gets drunk, and runs over a bunch of people and crashes into a wall. He dies. Now, is it moral and justified for us, to gather all of his children, and put them to jail for manslaughter? Thats what the bible does. Imaginary crimes of parents, get passed on to children. And i would end with this. According to bible, God killed millions....How many did Satan kill? Seriously, bible fans. answer this question. |

Thank you scorpion! Christians are just apologists of the bible, the worst book ever written. If god is real, he's the biggest a-hole of all time. Believe in me or spend eternity in the burning pits of hell? Cool dude.

Re: Atheist Teen Forces School to Remove Prayer from Wall After 49 Years
ok your point? Im not very heavy into god prayer or worship what bothers me is the democracy in america is in reverse. It was clear that most people in the community didn't have a problem with it. One person gets offended and we must change everything. Oh well welcome to america where minority rules over majority |
