I didn't say the people on the street did the graffiti and I didn't say you live in the hood. My point was being out of place and complaining about someone else's environment. Next time elaborate a little more |

Re: Atheist Teen Forces School to Remove Prayer from Wall After 49 Years
And another thing, my local college had "Black power" symbols on the walls. That annoyed me as it is actually illegal and hypocritical of them as they'd immediately cause a shit storm if it was some "White power" logo. Imagine it!!!! Total hypocritical SHIT. There was also quotes by gobshite boxer Mohammed Ali everywhere. Now I did point out to the college staff that the logos were illegal but did they remove them over my sole complaint? Absolutely not. Nor should that school have removed their traditional prayer over one complaint.

Apple and oranges. O'Hair, her son, and granddaughter were murdered by an employee (who turned out to be a violent felon) and his accomplices for the sole purpose of robbing them. O'hair wasn't murdered because of her atheist viewpoints.

Re: Atheist Teen Forces School to Remove Prayer from Wall After 49 Years
If you want to be really technical, The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution does not specifically state, verbatim, that you have a freedom from religion. It's amusing that the Atheist will quote Jefferson responding to Baptists' concern over an official Federal religion(ex. Lutheranism in Germany, the C of E in Britain, Catholicism in other nations) and assume he was talking about a complete severance of religion from the State ( such as you had in the USSR where it worked out great or the "Peoples" Republic of China, where you get sent to prison if you have an "illegal" church [meaning you talk about anything the state doesn't want you to]). I'm sure that it must be a rough life being atheist in the U.S., but honestly, most people don't give a shit unless you turn into an attention whore and make a public scene over how offended you are. But then again, when the shoe's on the other foot, we can expect to see you dog piling on the BABBY JEBUS LUVR. |
